WASHINGTON - Under fire from Republicans and some fellow Democrats, Sen. Dick Durbin apologized Tuesday for comparing American interrogators at the Guantanamo Bay prison camp to Nazis and other historically infamous figures.
"Some may believe that my remarks crossed the line," the Illinois Democrat said. "To them I extend my heartfelt apologies."
His voice quaking and tears welling in his eyes, the No. 2 Democrat in the Senate also apologized to any soldiers who felt insulted by his remarks.
"They're the best. I never, ever intended any disrespect for them," he said. (Associated Press)
"Tears welling in his eyes"....hahahahaha....thinking about your career, Dick?

Yes, it appears that Dickie got the message, this will not go away until you apologize. About time for some "Humble Pie", hey Dick ! How dare you compare our troops to the Nazi's and the like. I for one and sick of the sniveling that's going on about Gitmo, they are terrorists, plain and simple, how much humane treatement did 3,000 Americans get on 9/11. Those people never even stood a chance and these do gooder groups are whining about the Gitmo bunch. Not Me. Those guys are lucky to be alive !
